Relocating to Union CountyEducationPublic School The Union County Public School System operates five schools and is the fiscal agent for the Head Start Program and Pre-kindergarten Program. Union County school buildings are some of the most up-to-date in the area. The recently completed middle school will have a new addition for the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year and the Woody Gap School in Suches, GA will begin the school year with a new gymnasium. Union County High School was the recipient of a Gold Award from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and the Woody Gap High School was named one of the top high schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
